Hildi uses Thom's special heather honey from his buzzors for this, but you can get some from the supermarket - unless you are a beekeeper of course!
- 75g sunflower margarine
- 3 level tablespoons honey
- 150g sr flour
- 1 egg
- 50 - 75g chopped dates/sultanas
- a little milk
- paper cases
- Heat oven to 180 deg C.
- Cream margarine and honey until light and soft.
- Beat in egg.
- Stir in dates/sultanas and flour, gently.
- Add a little milk if necessary to make a soft consistency.
- Put into cases and bake for 20 minutes. The buns should be golden and spring back when gently pressed in the middle.
